Last week we talked about why “copper is amazing”

If you missed it, you can catch up on that here:

Now we will continue with part 2 of “copper is amazing”

For starters, here are 3 more fun facts about copper:

-Copper can be completely recycled with out any breakdown in quality.

– Copper has a high water corrosion resistance, which makes it fantastic for ship markings.

– Copper tools are used for working with explosives, since they DO NOT spark.

So…

Those are 3 fun facts for you, but we have one more.
And it’s pretty interesting.

Copper is well liked in the area of jewelry making.
And it’s a commonly used medium.

Copper is great in jewelry making because it’s
a metal that is easy to shape and work with.

But…

It also has great use in electroplating.

NOTE:
Electroplating is the process of laying one metal upon
another one—in jewelry making often a thinner metal—and using
it as a coating for a nice look and appeal.

But the “plating” of the metals is done through use of electric current.

So electroplating with copper in jewelry making is commonly
done, but perhaps a lesser know application of the metal.

But…

If it’s jewelry making or an industrial application…
(or something else)
We are confident that our copper shim stock and
